The pilot feature was first publicly identified by social media analyst Matt Navara. Later, TikTok confirmed the feature on TechCrunch, a technology website.

However, it is not clear in which regions the update will be available and whether the feature is currently available to other users.
According to the company, the platform currently has no immediate plans to roll out the feature widely.

The introduction of this feature by the social media platform is the latest attempt to boost its declining growth.

When the feature was first launched, content creators could only post a 60-second video. This limit was later increased to 10 minutes for all users and 15 minutes for some creators.

Videos of the same duration can be uploaded to TikTok’s rival platforms Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
